20 Years of Designing a Better Tomorrow

Since 2001, AES Engineering has been dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients and partners. As we enter our 20th year, we are humbled by the support we’ve received over the last two decades and we look to the future with anticipation of what’s to come.

Growing from just 11 employees in Victoria, BC to over 130 committed team members across British Columbia and Alberta, we are proud of where we’ve been and where we’re going. Over the last 20 years, we’ve played a role in shaping the cities in which we work and live and have brought life to our valued clients’ projects through mindful design and cutting-edge technology.

We welcome you to join us in celebrating 20 years of designing a better tomorrow.

2014: Capital Park Mixed-Use Development

One of the largest mixed-use developments on Vancouver Island with 250,000 sq. ft. of commercial lease space, 180 residential units, a grocery store, public library, pharmacy, coffee shop, and more, this project is a testament of AES’ contribution to the Island community.

2015: Guildford Recreation Centre Aquatic Addition

First AES Lighting project to win an International IES Award of Excellence. This recognition helped bring awareness to AES Lighting.

2016: Vancouver Aquarium Expansion

This multi-year expansion project was the largest in the aquarium’s history and AES’ first high-profile tourist attraction project.

2017: City of Richmond EV Ready Parking Study

AES developed a comprehensive EV Ready Parking Study for the City of Richmond, documenting how new multifamily developments can cost-effectively implement 100% EV Ready parking. Informed by this work, the City of Richmond became the first jurisdiction in North America to require 100% EV Ready new residential developments. The City of Vancouver and 17 other cities have since adopted the same requirements, and AES now consults across North America on EV Ready policies.

2019: CF Pacific Centre Tesla Supercharger Station
