UBC Pharmaceutical

Officially opened in September 2012, the Pharmaceutical Sciences Building is a 30,000 m2, 6-floor, state-of-the-art learning and research facility. The new building houses the teaching, learning, research and community outreach activities of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, as well as The Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) and Centre for High Throughput Phenogenomics. Built to LEED Gold standards, the building addresses sustainability in several areas, including transportation, energy/water usage, and construction material.

AES provided a range of services for this project, while adhering to an accelerated schedule, including main electrical, CATV and telephone services, emergency lighting, exit signage, lighting and controls, and various systems, namely power distribution, fire alarm, and infrastructure for communication, security and audio-visual systems.
