Surrey City Centre Library

As the main branch for the City of Surrey, the state-of-the art Surrey City Centre library is a place for the community to learn, share and connect. The design features a winding central atrium, skylights and large windows that provide abundant natural light, and a connection to the surrounding community.

This LEED Gold certified building features a green roof, café, lots of comfortable seating for reading and studying, a 12-seat computer learning centre and meeting spaces for a variety of community needs. Wi-Fi access through-out, and automated loan check-in / check-out enhanced by radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology are just two of the many features of this modern addition to the City of Surrey’s library system.

AES’ electrical design services included main electrical, and telephone services, lighting and controls, power distribution, fire alarm, communication and security.
