Guildford Recreation Centre

Guildford Aquatic Centre, the 7,000 square meter addition to the existing Guildford Recreation Centre, is a new facility is designed as a destination aquatic facility for both recreation and therapeutic users. This world class facility will offer a 50m FINA certified lap and leisure pool, incorporating a therapeutic area, walking lanes, lazy river and kids’ area. Additional features include family friendly hot tub, waterslide, expanded fitness centre, new lobby space and spectator seating for 300, with direct views into the natatorium. AES was honoured to received the 2015 Illumination Award of Excellence for the Guildford Recreation Centre Aquatic Addition Project. This award is the highest level lighting award from IES North America, a competition that brings together projects from all over the world. AES’ design services include power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, and systems for fire alarm, communication and security.
