Fairmont Hotel

A landmark hotel in downtown Vancouver, the Fairmont Hotel is known as the ‘Castle in the City’ and reflects the timeless luxury of Canada’s iconic railway hotels. Built in the 1930’s and located just steps from Vancouver’s business, shopping, and entertainment districts, it is the perfect place to enjoy the city’s vibrant atmosphere.

When the Fairmont Hotel turned 75 in 2014, a $12M renovation was undertaken to establish a renewed sense of luxury. AES completed the re-design of the commercial kitchen, restaurant, lobby, front desk area, hotel services station, breezeway, and entrances. Electrical engineering design services included power, fire alarm, emergency lighting, lighting and light controls, communications, and mechanical equipment connections.
