AES Engineering was delighted to be part of BUILDEX 2022 with three different presentations covering three wide scopes of the industry’s challenging topics.
We started the day with a presentation titled “Redefining the Workplace of the Future” presented by AES Engineering President Sunny Ghataurah in collaboration with Gensler’s Vancouver office Managing Director Jason Santeford, which explored the new hybrid workplace model and its value as a place of culture-building, collaboration, community, and connection. In addition, the presentation highlighted the critical role of technology and how it can support equity in the future flexibility and mobility of the workplace, wellbeing in the office, and employee engagement with the company culture. Our second presentation at BUILDEX 2022 was presented by our own Associate Victor Quezada & AES Engineering President Sunny Ghataurah, titled “Redefining Spaces: Lighting Design for Interior and Exterior Environments in a Dynamic World” exploring lighting considerations for the post-pandemic environment in which indoor spaces are multi-functional and outdoor spaces are increasingly relied upon.
We closed our presentations day by a very valuable presentation titled “From Smart Buildings to Intelligent Eco-Systems: What the transformation means for owners, operators, and occupants?” presented by AES Engineering Associate Dan Gagne and Sunny Ghataurah. Our presenters were able to take the audience through a very informative session, sharing insights about bottom-up vs. top-down approach, priorities for returning to the workplace, the impact of intelligent communities and what are the associated opportunities and challenges, understanding smart technology , connected enterprise ecosystems and how intelligent communities can work together to accelerate social and environmental sustainability, and more...
As a wrap up to our participations at BUILDEX 2022 it was a pleasure to be back with a bigger and much more interactive in-person expo with lots of insightful presentations and networking opportunities.
