As a Senior Associate at AES, I approach each day as a new opportunity to build relationships with fellow engineers, architects and clients. Having worked on projects from multiple perspectives, initially as a fully qualified electrician, then electrical engineer, then project manager, I am particularly interested in developing meaningful solutions that truly address a client’s needs while reducing energy consumption and remaining practical and cost-effective to implement. Achieving this, in my opinion, requires listening to clients, stakeholders, user groups, architects, and engineers from all disciplines and aggregating the needs, ideas and concerns until the right solution is uncovered. This is why relationships are so important to me – they are the backbone of every meaningful design.
With over 20 years of experience, I have had the pleasure to be a part of projects across many sectors including transportation, commercial office, retail, institutional, educational, light industrial, utilities, and, base building engineering. Having worked closely with TransLink on many of the SkyTrain stations and faregates implementation, I am reminded every day that my efforts have a lasting impact on people in my city and community.
