There is no such thing as a cookie cutter project, every project has its own unique set of constraints and methodology. My approach is to consider every aspect of the design to achieve a solution which represents the best overall value to the client. My particular interest is in finding solutions to complex projects, such as replacement of existing high voltage switchgear lineups while ensuring power shutdown durations are limited and managed in accordance with a schedule suitable for all parties. I strongly believe the foundations to ensure a successful project consist of maintaining proper processes, providing adequate planning, and delivering through to the end of the project.
When designing, I often draw on my previous experience working alongside electrical contractors in heavy industrial facilities. Through my previous experience, I gained an in-depth understanding of the priorities, needs, and constraints which electrical contractors must resolve. Due to this insight, I am able to provide solutions that are constructible as per the initial design, which ultimately minimizes change orders and alleviates delays or complications during the construction process.
I particularly appreciate the opportunity to work closely with Tesla on electric vehicle supercharger installations. EV charging infrastructure correlates closely with AES’ focus of sustainability. It is exciting to be at the leading edge of technology, assisting with electric vehicle adoption within the Province of British Columbia. Every EV charger installed helps drive the world towards a cleaner future.
