Portage Inlet Pump Station

This project consisted of upgrades and replacement of electrical control and SCADA kiosks and the installation of standby power generators at Portage Inlet, consisting of three locations: Arundel, Dunkirk and Murray #1. Upgrades included complete replacement of existing kiosks with new, meeting all current code requirements for hazardous locations and interconnection via radio to existing SCADA systems. A new standby generator was provided at each location. Temporary pumping controls were designed as required to facilitate the construction of the new wetwells or chambers. Particular attention was given to ensure that sound levels from ventilation and generation equipment is kept to a minimum.
